ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — Tompkins County dispatchers are responding to more reports of burglaries.

The Department of Emergency Response received 42 calls about the crime in July. That’s nearly double the number from June.

Authorities say one recent burglary involved a man who stole cash and milk from an Ithaca coffee shop.
