ULYSSES, N.Y. (WHCU) — There’s a referendum today on the possible purchase of land by the town of Ulysses.

They would use money from the American Rescue Plan, says Trumansburg Village Trustee Keith Hannon.

Despite support from the Ulysses Town Board, opponents gathered enough signatures to force today’s referendum vote. Hannon says time is running out on how to use the money, though there’s no plan yet on how the land would be developed.

Polls are open today from 11 to eight at Trumansburg Village Hall and the Racker Center in Ithaca.
