ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) – Two people are facing felony gun charges in Ithaca.

Probation officers were granted a court-issued search warrant on Tuesday based on information received through the Gun Involved Violence Elimination (GIVE) Task Force. The search was conducted at a probation client’s home at Magnolia House in the City of Ithaca.

Authorities say two illegal handguns with ammunition were found in the residence, with the serial numbers of one handgun scratched off. Casey Dean, of Newfield, and Jacquelin Swansbrough, of Ithaca, were arrested and charged with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon.

A court date for the pair has not yet been announced.
