ITHACA, NY (WHCU) – Bomb threats made to Central New York schools earlier this week have been deemed not credible by authorities.
Ten different high schools reportedly received an email claiming a bomb had been placed in two locations. All schools were searched and cleared by law enforcement. One district official says the source of the threats has been identified as coming from overseas.
Cincinnatus in Cortland County and Union Springs in Cayuga County were among the schools that received a threat. The Onondaga Sheriff’s Office and State Police are investigating.
