ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — Leaders in Ithaca remain looking for a new police chief.

The city’s Community Police Board recently met with a search consultant. The board meets at City Hall at 4:30 PM on Wednesday to provide an update.

Officers are currently without Acting Chief John Joly, who’s reportedly on an indefinite leave of absence. Joly is pursuing legal action against the city.
