HOMER, N.Y. (WHCU) — The village of Homer must now decide how to spend their multi-million-dollar Downtown Revitalization Initiative award.

The Cortland Voice reports Mayor Hal McCabe says the spending process will begin with the selection of a consultant for $300,000. McCabe says the consultant will be tasked with choosing how to spend the remaining $10 million, which the village was awarded earlier this week.

Some projects outlined in the village’s DRI proposal include reconstruction of 23 South Main Street and redevelopment of the Barber Block.
