ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — Palestinian supporters at Cornell have met with one campus official and have a meeting scheduled with another next week.
The Ithaca Voice reports a group of students called the Coalition for Mutual Liberation met Friday with Ryan Lombardi, the VP of Student and Campus Life, for about two hours.
The group wants Cornell to divest from companies that support Israel’s military and charged Cornell President Martha Pollack with war crimes.
Following the meeting with Lombardi, the group agreed to meet with Chief Financial Officer Christopher Cowen next Monday to discuss the university’s endowment.
