OWEGO, NY (WHCU) – An Owego man awaits his next court date from a Tioga County Jail cell.

Police arrested 49-year-old Michael Poquette last Wednesday on two charges in two separate investigations. Poquette is charged with felony burglary for an alleged break-in at a home in the town of Tioga, and felony possession of a forged instrument for trying to cash a forged check at a bank in Owego.

Poquette was taken into custody by Tioga County Sheriff’s deputies in Broome County upon his release from jail and transported back to Tioga County. He’s being held without bail.
