OWEGO, N.Y. (WHCU) — One man is recovering following a scary fall in Owego.

Firefighters responded to a wooded area on West Beecher Hill Road on Saturday evening. They say a 51-year-old man fell 20 feet from a tree stand.

A paramedic with the Owego Fire Department tells WHCU the injuries are “pretty serious.” A medical helicopter flew the victim to a hospital.
