ALBANY, N.Y. (WHCU) — New York has a new law.

CBS News reports a salary transparency law went into effect on Sunday. Employers must disclose pay ranges in job postings if they have at least four people working.

The new law also covers remote workers but does not extend to government agencies or temporary employee firms.

Last year, Ithaca adopted a pay transparency ordinance.
