ALBANY, N.Y. (WHCU) — If you have a need for speed, lawmakers may want to hit the brakes. 

State legislators are considering a bill which would have a device called a speed limiter installed in the vehicle if the driver receives six speeding tickets or red-light camera violations, or they rack up 11 points on their license in an 18-month period.
