ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — Ithaca Police say there is no threat to the public after a stabbing Thursday afternoon on West State Street.
Officers say surveillance footage showed a Hispanic man attacking someone with a machete. The suspect was wearing a brown coat, blue jeans, and glasses. Police say the victim’s injuries are not life threatening.
IPD does not believe the attack was random. A search for the suspect continues.
