CORTLAND, N.Y. (WHCU) – Law enforcement agencies across New York are participating in the 2023 No Empty Chair Campaign.
It’s a week of traffic safety awareness aimed at ensuring all teens make it to their prom or graduation by celebrating safely.
The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office will be participating and says each day of the week will have specific targeted enforcements, like speeding and impaired driving.
April 24 – Speeding in school zones
April 25 – Seat belt and child restraints
April 26 – Cell phone use and texting
April 27 – Operation Safe Stop
April 28 – Underage drinking and impaired driving
