NEWFIELD, NY (WHCU) — The Newfield Central School District is presenting a new budget in an upcoming re-vote.

Business Administrator Perry Gorgen was a guest Wednesday on Ithaca’s Morning News. He explained what the new spending plan looks like.

It also includes a tax levy increase of 2.5 percent, one percent lower than the budget voters rejected last month.

Meantime, Superintendent Eric Hartz adds that buses won’t appear on the new ballot.

The re-vote is from noon to 9 p.m. on June 18 at the Newfield Elementary School lower gym.
