NEWFIELD, N.Y. (WHCU) — Voters in the Newfield Central School District have said yes to a capital project.
In a vote Tuesday of 137 to 126, voters agreed on construction projects at schools districtwide and at the bus garage.
Voters also approved using $1.9 million dollars from the capital reserve fund to help pay for the work, and that the rest of the estimated $19.1 million dollars for the project would be funded by raising the tax levy.
