SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WHCU) — The New York State Attorney General’s office is now investigating a shooting in Syracuse.
Police say officers on patrol last evening witnessed a man in his 20s firing a gun at someone, then fleeing on foot toward Carbon Street. While in pursuit, police say the suspect shot himself. He later died at the hospital.
According to Syracuse PD, no gunfire was exchanged between the suspect and officers. The state AG investigation is part of state law.
