ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) – Road work in downtown Ithaca means some residents will have to find another place to park.

A paving project gets underway in the 200 block of Monroe Street on Monday, September 11. Monroe Street will be closed between 1st and 2nd Street. Officials say the roadway excavation will be so deep that people living in the affected area will not be able to enter or exit their driveways. The city suggests parking elsewhere for the duration of the project, which is expected to wrap up at the end of the day on Friday, September 22.
