ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — Congressman Marc Molinaro says he’s stepping up to strengthen social security. 

Molinaro has co-sponsored the Social Security Fairness Act, which aims to repair a pair of laws dating back to the 1980s – the Windfall Elimination Provision and Government Pensions Offset – which the Republican lawmaker describes as flawed.

Molinaro, who represents the 19th Congressional district, says both laws unfairly penalize public servants.
