ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — One Tompkins County official is hesitant to support a proposal on climate change.
Officials are considering backing the state’s All-Electric Buildings Act, which would require any house built after next year to be totally electric.
Legislator Randy Brown might vote against the plan, because he’s concerned about people having no natural gas for cooking.
He also worries about the cost of electricity. Legislators meet on Tuesday to discuss.
