ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — A lawsuit against the Ithaca Police Department is allowed to proceed. 

The Ithaca Voice reports a judge has rejected the city’s motion to dismiss the lawsuits. Rose DeGroat and Cadji Ferguson say three officers used excessive force during their arrests on the Commons in April 2019.

The two seek half a million dollars for alleged pain and suffering.
