LANSING, N.Y. (WHCU) — Part of a road in Lansing could see slower drivers.

Town officials are considering requesting a lower speed limit on a stretch of Salmon Creek Road. Right now, the limit changes from 35 MPH to 55 MPH in a cluster of homes.

Officials say residents have complained about drivers accelerating and disturbing peace.

A proposed resolution would request the State Department of Transportation to move the speed limit change several-hundred feet to the north.

The Lansing Town Board meets tonight at 6:30 PM to discuss.
