LANSING, N.Y. (WHCU) — A Tompkins County town is planning to add new equipment for youth baseball.
Lansing is hoping to put a batting cage behind the Town Hall. Parks & Recreation Supervisor Pat Tyrrell tells WHCU it would primarily be used for first and second-grade students.
“Kids could get in there and be safe,” he says. “More of a protective environment.”
He adds the cost would be “very minimal,” because the net is being donated by local business Total Baseball Training.
