ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) – An Ithaca woman awaits extradition after being discovered at a hotel near Cornell University.

Tompkins County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to the Best Western on Ellis Hollow Road at 2:21 p.m.  Tuesday for a report of a disorderly male. During that investigation, deputies identified 35-year-old Kharissa Hughes at the hotel. She had a fugitive of justice warrant out of Pennsylvania.

Hughes was taken into custody and sent to Tompkins County Jail until she can be turned over to the Bradford County Sheriff’s Office in Pennsylvania.
