ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — Ithaca Police say officers found a stolen vehicle early this morning and arrested the driver.

Police say the vehicle was spotted on Hook Place shortly before 12:30 this morning. Officers tried pulling the car over but say the driver sped away before getting out and fleeing on foot.

33-year-old Brittany Walls was taken into custody after a brief chase. She’s charged with criminal possession of stolen property and additional misdemeanors. Police are encouraging any witness to reach out if they have more information.
