ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) – One person is recovering after a stabbing in Ithaca.

The Ithaca Police Department responded to the 200 block of South Fulton Street just after 1:00 on Friday afternoon. The victim was being treated by Bangs Ambulance when officers arrived and was airlifted to a regional trauma center with a non-life-threatening wound. The victim is in stable condition.

IPD says the victim and suspect are known to each other and the crime was the result of a dispute. IPD was assisted by Tompkins County Sheriff’s deputies and a State Trooper, who were able to locate the suspect. No charges have been filed yet, but the incident is still under investigation. No names are being released at this time.
