CORTLANDVILLE, N.Y. (WHCU) – An Ithaca man police say stole items in Cortlandville last year has been arrested.

Cortland County Sheriff’s deputies caught up to 23-year-old Cameron Oliver on Tuesday after a warrant for his arrest was issued nearly a year ago. Authorities say Oliver shoplifted and damaged merchandise at Walmart on May 5, 2023, and gave a false identity and false information during his initial arrest. A warrant was issued one week later.

Oliver is charged with felony grand larceny, felony falsifying business records, misdemeanor criminal mischief, misdemeanor criminal impersonation, misdemeanor forgery, and misdemeanor obstructing governmental administration. Oliver is due in both Cortland City Court and Cortlandville Town Court on Wednesday.
