LANSING, N.Y. (WHCU) – An Ithaca man in Tompkins County Jail for recent crimes receives more charges.
Tompkins County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to Ithaca Tofu Oriental Market in the Village of Lansing last week for a report of an attempted break-in. Security footage shows it happened just after midnight on February 11th.
Investigators were able to determine the man on the video was 32-year-old James Kastenhuber by referencing it with security footage from a business in East Hill Plaza in Ithaca, which Kastenhuber was arrested for burglarizing the same day he was seen at Ithaca Tofu Oriental Market.
Kastenhuber is charged with felony attempted burglary and misdemeanor possession of burglar’s tools.
