UPDATE 10/3: The work on this project has been extended. It is now set to complete at the end of the day on Friday, October 13. 

 

ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) – Traffic delays are expected in downtown Ithaca.

Crews will begin two storm pipe replacement projects at the intersection of East Tompkins Street and North Aurora Street on Tuesday. The intersection will remain closed for the work. Parts of both streets near the construction zone will be closed during work hours from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day. Additionally, the southwest crosswalk will be closed. Posted detours will be in place.

Officials say the project should wrap up on September 28.
