ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) – A familiar face in Ithaca is running for a seat on Common Council.

Kayla Matos, deputy director of the Southside Community Center, will look to represent the First Ward. She was endorsed by the New York Working Families Party in February.

She says she’ll push for change in the community.

Matos will square off against Cynthia Brock this June in the primaries.
