ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — A restaurant on the Commons is slightly damaged this morning after a fire last evening. 

Lieutenant Jim Wheal at IFD has confirmed to WHCU Lev Kitchen was affected by the nighttime fire. Wheal says an employee next door at Thompson and Bleeker called about a light haze of smoke in the basement around 8:30.

Firefighters spent about 30 minutes searching through the walls and floors to locate the fire, which was found in a wall on the first floor.

The fire was extinguished, and nobody was injured.
