ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — The Ithaca Common Council plans to vote next month on recommendations introduced by the Reimagining Public Safety Special Committee.
In the final draft released last month, the committee recommended creating a deputy city manager who would oversee the Ithaca Police Department and implementation of a holistic response to crises. Other recommendations include strengthening accountability.
The Common Council will meet on April 5 at 6 p.m.
