ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — Ithaca’s Common Council still seeks to fill a vacancy.
In February, Third Ward Alderperson Jeffrey Barken announced he would step down this summer to pursue other interests. Anyone interested in filling the seat should turn in a letter of interest and resume to the City Clerk’s Office no later than noon on May 25th.
If chosen, the applicant would be sworn in July 5th and serve on council until December 31st.
