ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — A vote by the Ithaca Common Council to accept Cornell’s proposed increased financial commitment to the city is being delayed.

Mayor Laura Lewis made that announcement at the start of a meeting last night, which was greeted enthusiastically by Ithacans in the gallery.

The mayor also broke down how the contribution would work.

A vote will be held during a special meeting of the Ithaca Common Council on October 11.
