ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — A marijuana dispensary in Ithaca is officially open, and neighboring businesses have mixed reactions.

“In my head, I just always imagine that people that listen to music smoke a lot of weed too,” he says.

“I’m a little concerned about the Commons being a pedestrian mall and having a children’s playground so near the new store,” he says. “So I have a little few reservations, but we hope everything’s going to work out and we’re all happy in the end.”

Dozens of people lined the block for the grand opening on Thursday.
