ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — Charges are pending against an unnamed person in Ithaca.

IPD says an officer tried pulling over a speeding vehicle last night in the Fall Creek area. The driver allegedly led the officer on a short pursuit before colliding into a parked car. Police say the driver purposefully pushed that vehicle into Fall Creek Elementary School, causing heavy damage.

A short foot pursuit began, but the driver was arrested. Police are withholding the driver’s name as the investigation continues.
