DRYDEN, N.Y. (WHCU) – One person is recovering after rescue efforts in Tompkins County.
Units from Dryden Fire and Ambulance were called to Hammond Hill State Forest around 11:00 a.m. on Monday after receiving a report of an injured bicyclist on a remote trail. Firefighters and paramedics used a UTV and GPS to travel into the woods and locate the victim, who had suffered a broken ankle.
The victim was secured and transported safely for medical treatment.
