ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) – Ithaca Neighborhood Housing Services has a new executive director.

The INHS Board of Directors has named Kate de la Garza to the role, effective January 2, 2024. Kate de la Garza has over two decades of experience in affordable housing development and finance, having recently served as Vice President and Senior Relationship Manager at Key Bank.

“I am honored to be chosen as INHS’s next leader and thrilled to join such a longstanding and impactful organization whose mission and values align with mine,” said de la Garza.

INHS has been without a permanent executive director since Johanna Anderson stepped down in June. The Board of Directors credited longtime INHS employee Patricia Paolangeli’s leadership as acting executive director for the smooth transition.

“I feel confident that Kate’s experience and knowledge will continue to lead the organization to further success,” said Paolangeli. “I look forward to working with them.”
