ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — Budget discussions for the Ithaca City School District’s 2024 to 2025 academic year are wrapping up.
Superintendent Luvelle Brown tells WHCU a challenging year is ahead.
Brown also tells WHCU he remains hopeful that school aid in New York’s budget for 2025 won’t be cut as deeply as first feared.
State lawmakers are still debating the 2025 budget, which was due last Monday. A budget vote for the next academic year in Ithaca is May 21.
