ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — The Ithaca City School District is presenting a different budget to voters next month.
The Ithaca Times reports Ithaca’s school board adopted Tuesday a smaller budget with a sharp drop in the tax levy. In the original draft, the tax levy for the 2024 to 2025 school year would have jumped over 12%.
Instead, the proposed increase is 8.4%, which equals a $4 million reduction. The budget vote is May 21.
