ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) – Honda has recalled nearly half a million vehicles due to a safety hazard.

According to the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration, driver and front passenger seatbelts may not latch correctly in affected vehicles due to a manufacturing error, increasing the risk of injury or death in a crash.

Dealers will replace the seat belt assemblies as necessary, free of charge. Notifications for owners are expected to be mailed out on April 17, 2023. The potential number of affected vehicles is 448,613. No injuries have been reported.
