HOMER, N.Y. (WHCU) — The Homer Police Department is praising an officer credited for saving a man’s life last week at a Cortland gym.
Officer Quentin Giles co-owns CrossFit Cortland and rushed to help a man in his 60s who suffered cardiac arrest. Last Thursday, CPR and a defibrillator were used to revive the man, who is expected to make a full recovery.
Homer Police say Giles, who’s a school resource officer at Homer Elementary School, saved another life in 2020 at Dasher’s Pub.
