ALBANY, N.Y. (WHCU) — Governor Kathy Hochul says New York is ready to help Baltimore.
CBS News reports the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapsed overnight after a large ship struck the Baltimore bridge. In a tweet, Hochul says she has reached out to Maryland Governor Wes Moore to offer any assistance needed.
A search and rescue mission in the river under the bridge is now underway.
My heart breaks for all those affected by the collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge as rescue efforts are underway.
