CORTLAND, N.Y. (WHCU) – A woman accused of second-degree murder in Cortland County says she’s innocent.
The Cortland Voice reports that 32-year-old Ariela Thran, of Granby, pled not guilty on Tuesday to the killing of Patricia Halverson. The 62-year-old Halverson was found dead outside of her home in Solon on January 3.
Thran remains in Cortland County Jail on $50,000 cash bail. Thran’s attorney has requested her bail be lowered because of finances and lack of criminal history. She will appear in court next on March 12.
