LANSING, NY (WHCU) – Authorities have tracked down a wanted man in Lansing.

Tompkins County Sheriff’s Deputies assigned to the Gun Involved Violence (G.I.V.E.) Task Force pulled a vehicle over on Sheraton Drive around 1:15 a.m. on Friday. Deputies patrolling the area say the registered vehicle owner, 60-year-old Terri Meddaugh, of Lansing, was known to be in the company of 29-year-old Michael Gilmore, of Ithaca, who had an active arrest warrant.

Gilmore was taken into custody on the warrants for his arrest. Deputies say they noticed ammunition and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle and conducted a search. They allegedly found a loaded Ruger LCP .380 pistol, ammunition, and suspected drugs including meth, heroin, and fentanyl.

Gilmore and Meddaugh are each charged with felony criminal possession of a weapon and misdemeanor drug possession. Both are being held in Tompkins County Jail on $100,000 cash bail.
