ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — A free speech advocacy group wants Cornell to drop their investigation of a student’s alleged post on Instagram.

Last week, Cornell President Martha Pollack issued a statement condemning a post that said “Zionists must die,” saying an investigation would begin and if proven to be linked to a student, they would be sanctioned. The Foundation for Individual Rights – or FIRE — says the post is protected free speech.

WHCU’s Joe Salzone will speak with FIRE representative Zach Greenberg Monday on Ithaca’s Morning News.
