OWEGO, N.Y. (WHCU) — Legislators in Tioga County officially have a new member.

Keith Flesher took the oath of office Tuesday representing District 7. Flesher’s appointment runs through the remainder of 2023, then he would have to run again in November to complete Ed Hollenbeck’s term through the end of 2024. Hollenbeck served as District 7 legislator for a decade before his death in November.

The Tioga County Legislature approved the appointment of Flesher, who was one of three people interviewed for the vacancy.
