ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — Potential funding cuts to the Southside Community Center in Ithaca have been withdrawn.
The Ithaca Voice reports Alderperson Donna Fleming took back her amendment at the start of Wednesday’s budget meeting. In the original proposal, Fleming suggested cutting a $200,000 contribution to the center, or about 40-percent of Southside’s budget.
Supporters of Southside appeared in Common Council chambers for yesterday’s meeting at City Hall.
