ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — No one was injured after a fire last night tore through Ithaca’s homeless encampment site known as “the Jungle.”
Lieutenant Jim Wheal at the Ithaca Fire Department says the blaze was reported around 10 o’clock. Nobody was inside the structure at the time of the fire, which remains under investigation.
Firefighters spent roughly 90 minutes extinguishing the flames.
