ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) – The FDA has issued a recall on some Enfamil Nutramigen powder baby formulas.
The recall applies to specific batches of the Hypoallergenic powder for infants with a cow milk allergy. They’re being recalled due to a bacteria risk that could cause sepsis or meningitis. All illnesses reported have come in products shipped overseas, none in the U.S. The product came in 12.6 and 19.8 oz containers and was manufactured in June of 2023. It was distributed nationwide primarily in June, July, and August of 2023 and has likely been consumed.
All domestic products that have been tested have been negative for the bacteria, but consumers are advised to throw it away and get a refund if they have a batch in question.
