ELMIRA, N.Y. (WHCU) – An Elmira teen is facing two counts of attempted murder after allegedly attacking his parents on Tuesday morning.

Elmira Police say 18-year-old Jacob Olson was riding in a car with his mom and dad when he lashed out and stabbed both of them. WENY-TV reports Olson’s parents called for help from a neighbor’s home. Olson reportedly surrendered to officers who arrived at the scene. Elmira PD says both victims were taken to the hospital. One parent is reportedly in stable condition and the other remains in critical condition.
